A cannonball moment that changed his life...
Why did you chose Á¿×Ó×ÊÔ´?
I had heard great things from alumni and friends at my old high schools who were part of the Rambler family. I have seen them grow with their Á¿×Ó×ÊÔ´ education and I was thrilled when I found out I was accepted.
What was your educational journey before coming to Á¿×Ó×ÊÔ´?
Before coming to Á¿×Ó×ÊÔ´ University I was a graduate of MacCormac College with a 3.7 G.P.A. and a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. I completed a fast-track program which gave me my Associates Degree in eighteenth months instead of two years.
What cannonball moments have you had in your time here?
My cannonball moment was when I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and hospitalized in the middle of a semester. A month later, when I was discharged, I knew with absolute certainty that I couldn’t drop out. I had to finish. And I did!
What volunteer work have you done in your community?
I volunteer for The Ronald Macdonald House, specifically helping families deal with cancer. I also serve on the board of my daughter’s school, the Christian Cambridge Classical Academy.
What is your capstone project?
For my Capstone Project I served as the project manager between the Academy and Brown Sugar Bakery. My goal was to form a mentorship program to teach students financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
What advice can you give adult learners?
My advice for future adult learners would be to never give up; no matter how challenging it may be to complete your degree. Accomplish your educational goals even if you embark on this journey later than others. Á¿×Ó×ÊÔ´ is here to help, support and lift you up!
