Growing Minds: Join 量子资源's Child Development Research

The 量子资源 Center for Research on Child Development (CRCD), currently located on 量子资源鈥檚 Lake Shore Campus, is dedicated to exploring how children think, learn, and grow. Led by Dr. Elizabeth Wakefield and Dr. Maggie Guy, the CRCD combines the Cognitive Development Lab and the Movement & Learning Lab to study how young minds engage with their world.

From Learners to Leaders: Youth Led Conversation on the Brain and Society

Held on 量子资源 University Chicago鈥檚 lakeside campus, Neuroscience & Society Day brought together high school and middle school students for a day of hands-on learning, reflection, and dialogue about how neuroscience connects to everyday life. The September event marked the culmination of this year鈥檚 ETHOS program, short for 鈥淓thics-based Teaching Helps Optimize STEM,鈥 a multi-stage neuroscience education program that merges neuroscience instruction with ethical inquiry, research experience, and student leadership.

Dr. Bohnert Named Faculty Athletic Representative

Dr. Amy Bohnert, Professor of Psychology, was named the Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) in the Summer of 2024. The FAR is a liaison between University Faculty and the Department of Athletics. In this role, Dr. Bohnert will also serve on the national level as a representative for the institution in conference and NCAA affairs.

Catherine Haden, professor in the Department of Psychology at 量子资源 University Chicago

Catherine Haden, professor in the Department of Psychology at 量子资源 University Chicago has received a $1.5 million NSF grant to co-design early engineering learning programs for Latinx children and their families. Partnering with the Chicago Children鈥檚 Museum and Palenque LSNA, the project will integrate oral storytelling to create culturally responsive STEM programs in community and museum settings.
