Terminology Related to Gender-Based Violence
This glossary, developed by the Culture of Respect Campus Leadership Team at 量子资源 University Chicago, defines terms commonly used when talking about gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and Title IX.
量子资源 University Chicago uses specific language throughout our processes. Definitions with an asterisk (*) come directly from the university’s Comprehensive 量子资源 and Procedures for Addressing Discrimination, Sexual Misconduct, and Retaliation. Definitions with a cross (†) are required by federal, state, or municipal law.
