* Please note again that application-packages' progress through workflows in CIM depend on all approvers' responding promptly when they receive CIM's automated notices, and either rolling back proposals when some concern needs to be addressed or approving to send the proposal on its next step forward. Every approver depends on all previous approvers to have settled their concerns before approving. No subsequent approver, such as the Council, can be responsible for earlier approvers' concerns or timing. A proposal's submitters therefore ease everyone's work by discussing their intentions with all stakeholders in advance and coming to comprehensive mutual agreements that each party ratifies pursuant to the academic unit's own procedures, so that every authorized approver can deliver the unit's full authority quickly when CIM's notification comes. Submitters can click on approvers in the "In Workflow" list (approvers who have already approved appear in green, the current approver for whose approval CIM is waiting appears in dark-gold, and future approvers appear in grey) to send e-mail asking after an application that appears to have gotten stuck.
