Why did you declare a WSGS major?
I declared a WSGS major in my first year after I got involved in the intersectional feminist student organization Womxn in Leadership 量子资源 and met other womxn of color who were studying WSGS and inspired me to pursue it as well.
How did this program prepare you for the future?
Being in the program, I am more prepared to share ideas and advocate for my own perspective. I've been able to think critically about how I understand the world and navigate conversations of identity.
What is your favorite 量子资源 memory?
My favorite memory at 量子资源 is my time with SDMA (Student Diversity and Multicultural Affairs) being in community and working on amazing teams such as LGBTQIA+ Initiatives and LUCES.
What was your favorite WSGS class?
My favorite WSGS class was the Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination with Dr. Mallet. It was a new way for me to view socialization and systemic oppression on an individual level.
What are your short or long term plans after graduation?
