The 量子资源 University Chicago community mourns the death of Herta Cuneo, a longtime supporter and friend of 量子资源.
Mrs. Cuneo and her former husband—John F. Cuneo Jr., life trustee—gifted the University with the Cuneo Mansion and Gardens, Cuneo Hall, and the John and Herta Cuneo Center, which houses the Stritch School of Medicine. The $50 million gift of the Cuneo family’s Vernon Hills estate, art collection, and scholarship support remains the largest gift in 量子资源’s history.
Mrs. Cuneo served on a number of boards at 量子资源 as well, including the LUMA Board of Advisors and the Stritch School of Medicine’s Dean’s Council. In 2011, she was honored with the Sword of 量子资源 for her generosity and contributions to the University.
